1) Management before childbirth: Report and register as a pregnant woman, early diagnosis of pregnancy, distribution of iron
supplements
- Presentation of ID card is required
- Health examination at the early stage of pregnancy
- Urinalysis, blood sampling (syphilis, AIDS, blood typing, Hemoglobin, Hepatitis B antigen-antibody)
- Rubela antigen-antibody : Execute on the 3rd month of pregnancy
- Fetal anomaly(triple test): Between 16~18 weeks of pregnancy
- Ultrasonography: Possible from the 10th week of pregnancy, available every month
- Provision of iron supplements: For registered pregnant women who are more than 20 weeks pregnant
- Distribution of books related to breastfeeding: More than 20 weeks of pregnancy
- Distribution of Health Class schedule for pregnant women (Happy Mom)
Postpartum Management
- Consultation on health condition of pregnant women
- Provision of vaccination for infants and toddlers
- Information on the test for congenital metabolic disease of a newborn(3 to 7 days after birth)
- Education on the importance of postpartum management and hygiene for pregnant women
- Operation of breastfeeding clinic (10:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. every Thursdays and Fridays)
- Counseling on breastfeeding (http://www.momilk.co.kr)
- The breastfeeding clinic in the Breast Feeding Association and childcare (http://www.aga-love.org)
